Dude, check it.
The old wood was bad, rotten on the edges, the poly was chipped off in most spots, and the stain was uneven. The first thing we did was to get some professional strength poly stripper, and go nuts. We just loaded a crap ton on the boards and waited like 15 minutes for the stripper to do the work. When it looks like it has all bubbled off, we scraped off the poly and stripper, and wiped down the boards.
I just remembered my pictures are on another camera that I don't have right now, so I will have to wait to post. The one guy that visited last week will have to wait.
